Vitamin D3+K2

    Product information

Studies show that the majority of Swedish adults have insufficient vitamin D levels. Daily support for a strong immune system, skeleton and according to several large studies (including Harvard) it helps to stop aging. Daylight Dose combines 5,000 IU D3 with 100 mcg active K2 – two vitamins that work together to support the body's long-term health.

D3 contributes to normal function of the immune system, muscles and skeleton. K2 helps the body use calcium correctly, which is important for maintaining a strong skeleton over time. One capsule a day provides a consistent routine for those who want to invest in health, strength and vitality – year round.

    A real need

Between October and March, UV-B radiation in Sweden is too weak for the skin to produce vitamin D. An analysis of 18 years of data from 46 European cities shows that vitamin D winter lasts several months in the north. D3 drives calcium absorption. K2 controls where calcium ends up — in the skeleton, not in the blood vessels.

    WINTER

40% of Europeans have insufficient vitamin D levels during winter.

    SUMMER

16% of Swedish 18-year-old boys have direct vitamin D deficiency.

    The sun is not enough

From October to March, UV-B is too weak in Sweden for the skin to produce vitamin D. This is due to the sun angle — not the clouds.

    The window doesn't help

Regular window glass lets in light but blocks all UV-B. Sunlight through the window produces no vitamin D.

What the body does when it's lacking

    The body compensates silently

In the mild phase, the body keeps the calcium and coagulation systems stable behind the scenes — test results often appear normal. For vitamin D, the serum threshold of 50 nmol/L (25(OH)D) is used as the limit for deficiency; intake that is close to but below this level is counted as the mild phase. For vitamin K, the liver still manages to prioritize the coagulation factors, but some of the K-dependent proteins in bones and blood vessels remain in their inactive form.

Reviews of the interaction between vitamins D and K describe that calcium transport to the skeleton requires both vitamins in sufficient amounts — in mild deficiency, the body draws from its reserves to keep blood values stable.
