Man 50+plus

Lycopene, Zinc & Boron

    Product information

Three out of ten Swedish men over 50 have clearly insufficient zinc intake. Four out of ten have insufficient selenium intake.

Most multivitamins provide a little of everything. Man 50+ is made from a different starting point: what does the body actually need after 50, and in what amounts does it matter?

Of 11 ingredients, 6 build up reserves the body loses with age. 5 work actively — selenium for the thyroid, boron for bone health, lycopene for the prostate, plus shilajit and fenugreek where research on testosterone-related functions is growing.

    Tailored for men 50+

We started from research showing where deficiencies occur with age. Zinc, selenium and magnesium are the minerals most often lacking in men over 50 — a systematic review of 7,203 elderly people in 13 countries showed zinc deficiency in 49 percent of men and selenium deficiency in 37 percent.

    2

5 with direct effect. 6 that build reserves

Selenium, boron, lycopene, shilajit and fenugreek work actively against specific areas — thyroid, bones, prostate and hormone synthesis. The other six (magnesium, zinc, iron, A, C, folate) build up reserves the body needs daily.

    3

    Gaps that diet doesn't cover

Selenium intake in the Nordic countries is systematically low and studies on elderly Swedes show serum levels around 67 µg/L, well below requirements.

Zinc deficiency increases steadily with age and affects almost half of men over 60.

    4

Focus on testosterone, prostate, energy and bone health

Four areas that change the most after 50 — supported by ingredients with documented mechanisms.

    What's needed. Nothing else.

Two of the most studied plant-based ingredients right now

    Lycopene & Boron

Lycopene is a fat-soluble carotenoid that accumulates in prostate tissue over 4–8 weeks. Boron at 3 mg/day interacts with calcium and vitamin D metabolism for bone health.

    Shilajit & Fenugreek

    Selenium & Zinc

    Vitamin A + C

The foundation the body builds reserves with

    Shilajit & Fenugreek

Shilajit's active component — fulvic acid — functions as an electron carrier in cellular energy production (ATP) and binds minerals thanks to its structure. Fenugreek contains saponins and galactomannan which in meta-analyses have been shown to lower blood fats and blood sugar.

Effects on testosterone have been observed in a few studies, but the number of studies is low and the mechanism is believed to occur indirectly — through improved metabolic profile.

The two minerals men over 50 most often lack

    Selenium & Zinc

A systematic review of 7,203 adults over 60 in 13 Western countries found zinc deficiency in 49% of men and selenium deficiency in 37%. Selenium is incorporated into 25 different selenoproteins that control thyroid, immune system and oxidative protection — The Nordic countries also consistently have lower selenium intake than most of Europe, making supplementation particularly relevant.

Direct effect on skin and immune system

    Vitamin A + C

Vitamin C and A support the skin's normal function and collagen formation, particularly important during menopause and for the skin's support structures.
